The 3 Florida siblings sought by authorities from across the country are now being booked at the Pueblo County jail.

Grace Lee Dougherty, Ryan Edward Dougherty and Dylan Dougherty Stanley were all captured after a police chase that started at around 9:38 a.m. Wednesday in Colorado City and ended near a few minutes later just outside of Walsenburg.

The "Dougherty Gang," as they've become known, are being held on charges of first degree assault on a police officer. They have outstanding warrants from Georgia and Florida for allegedly robbing a bank and shooting at a police officer.

Prosecutors from several states are eager to charge the gang but Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor says District Attorney Bill Thiebaut should get the first shot at them.

"The acute problem right now is he fired at both sheriff's deputies here in Pueblo county as well as state troopers," Taylor said. "So, I'm sure that our district attorney is going to want to have his day in court with them as well."

FBI special agent Phil Niedringhaus says however it shakes out, the trio have a long list of charges facing them.

"These three have a big legal mess in front of them, and at some point, they will face charges in all those jurisdictions."
