On Thursday, Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill presented a check for more than one thousand dollars to the Home Front Cares organization at their Broadmoor Towne Centre location.
"We're excited about giving back to the community and, specifically, to our veterans for the jobs they do and for keeping us all safe," says director of franchise development and operation Bob Bafundo.
All the money was raised during their June grand opening event at the Broadmoor Towne Centre store and they are excited about continuing to give to the non-profit, which assists wounded and deployed armed service members and their families.
In celebration of Veterans Day, the restaurant gave active service members and veterans a free meal, with beverage purchase.
"We like giving back to the communities and working with the communities in which we do business," Bafundo adds.
Garbonzo will be opening a store in the Powers area the first week of December 2010 and will be running the same fundraiser. All proceed from that event will also go to the Home Front Cares group. They hope to raise the same amount, if not more, for the non-profit during their next store grand opening.
