Geography could influence life span

If you've hit your golden years -- how many years of healthy living do you have left? A new CDC report breaks it down by state.

Retirees in Hawaii are likely to live another twenty-one years, and for sixteen of those years they'll be in good health.

People in the south and midwest don't fare as well. The study shows those adults lived four fewer years and spent more time with health problems.

Experts say adults in these areas are more likely to smoke, be obese and have diabetes or heart disease.

Overall, people who reach 65 have about 19 years ahead of them -- and will spend 14 without disability.
