Grass Fire burning in Fountain / Security area

Fountain and Security fire department crews are responding to a fire burning in a field area between a neighborhood and S. Powers Blvd where Mesa Ridge Parkway begins. Fire is inching dangerously close to homes. El Paso County Sheriff's Deputies are also responding to the area to move traffic around the fire area.
There were reports of fireworks being lit off in the area just before the fire was seen.
