Green Mountain Falls wakes up to flood damage

As the sun rises people are starting to discover more damage caused by Thursday nights heavy rain.

One of the hardest he areas was Green Mountain Falls west of Colorado Springs on Highway 24.

El Paso Avenue is still closed due to damage to bridges with at least one bridge completely washed out and another one with a sink hole in the middle of it.

At least one home in Green Mountain Falls was damaged by flood water.

Several residents in the small town say they have never seen Fountain Creek running as high as it was Thursday night. The creek has since gone down. .
