The Colorado State Health department is urging people to get a H1N1 vaccination if you haven't already done so. It's part of the health department's "Enough Excuses" flu vaccination campaign which kicked off Sunday. This is National Influenza Vaccination week.
Hundreds showed up for a free shot or nasal spray at many of the mass vaccination clinics held across the region. But now it's going to cost you to get a shot. The vaccine is available at places like Walgreens ($18) and Wal-mart ($15).
At the Walgreens on Northern Ave. in Pueblo, there's plenty of H1N1 flu vaccine. "A lot of people that wanted it have already gotten it, so we have the stragglers--the people that couldn't get out to the (free) clinics," said Joel Ehlers, pharmacy manager at the Pueblo Walgreens. "It's significantly dropped off, but the demand is still there," he added.
