Happy heart, good health

People with a positive outlook on life are going to be happy about this: a new study finds they are less likely to have a heart attack.

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University studied nearly 1500 siblings of people who suffered heart events -- and found those who reported feeling happy and satisfied with life were thirty percent less likely to have a heart attack.

Among participants who had a high risk for heart problems, those with a cheerful mood had a 50% reduced risk.

Researchers say happy personalities are likely a part of the temperament you are born with.
