Has food assistance program improved?

It appears some people are still waiting a long time to get food assistance benefits in Pueblo County. In November 2010, News First 5 talked to several people who waited a month or longer to receive benefits. Six months have passed by and News First 5 wanted to know if the situation has improved?
We've heard from a single mother in Pueblo who says she just got her benefits a couple of days ago, after waiting for nearly a month. We're going to talk with the administrator of the Family Service Center in Pueblo to find out if there's still a backlog of applications. More to come.
