A third of Facebook users have deactivated their accounts at one time or another, and 10% never come back.
That comes from a study by researchers at Cornell University.
They found a variety of reasons for people de-friending the social network, ranging from "using it too much" to distrust of privacy policies.
Others left for professional reasons or to avoid awkward situations.
The study polled more than 400 people.
