Hearing in Army general's sex case

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) - A hearing to determine whether a U.S. Army general will be face a military trial on sex charges is entering a third day with testimony from additional women.

A female captain testified Tuesday that Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair twice forced her to perform oral sex and threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone. The woman had a three-year affair with the married general at Army bases in the United States, Germany, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sinclair served as a deputy commander of the 82nd Airborne Division until he was relieved in May. He faces charges including forcible sodomy, wrongful sexual conduct and adultery, which is a crime in the military

The allegations involve relationships with five women. Sinclair faces life in prison if he is convicted.
