Highway crews spent the night cleaning up after heavy rains that caused flooding and mud slides in parts of Colorado.
Stacey Stegman of the Colorado Department of Transportation says crews were clearing a mud slide that occurred Thursday afternoon on Colorado 82 near Carbondale. She says two cars that tried to drive through got stuck had to be pulled out.
Crews were also cleaning up two mud slides within about 100 yards of each other on Colorado 133 near Redstone.
Another mud slide a few inches deep in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Dotsero has been cleared.
In southwest Colorado, Jennifer Dinsmore of San Miguel County says state plows cleared mud and debris off Highway 145 near Norwood.
