"All of our staff, all the managers, we've all got some relationships, some connections to the military -- either family members or friends that have been deployed or currently serving in the military," says HuHot owner Jay Warwick. "So we're honored to help."
April Speake from The Home Front Cares says, "Right now, veterans are making up a large percentage of the unemployment rate, the homeless populations and, so, this is just an amazing opportunity to offer more help."
"As we learned that the need continues to grow," adds Warwick, "We wanted to do something very special."
The grill specializes in cooking to order whatever you pack into your bowl -- and you even get to watch as it cooks to perfection before grill chefs hand over your culinary masterpiece.
"In addition to enjoying a great meal with your friends and family, you can contribute to a great cause," happily says Warwick.
Tomorrow, the grill will have extended hours, 9 am until 9 pm, to hopefully reach its $10,000 goal. Lunch is $8.49 plus tax, dinner is $12.99 plus tax, and the best part is you can make unlimited trips through the food line.
The restaurant has been donating to the organization since it opened back in December 2010 and hopes to make this Monday's 100% giving event an annual affair.
So, come hungry and help both the restaurant and Home Front Cares help some of our soldiers and their families who may be in need.
To date, Home Front Cares has donated around $2 million dollars to close to 1900 families.
