Helping kids stay warm

Last Saturday snow fell on many parts of El Paso County reminding us that winter is knocking on our door and it's a perfect time to help some kids stay warm.

"Koats 4 Kids" is holding their 5th Annual fundraiser this Friday, October 14. Coats will be going to students of the Aragon Elementary School in the Fountain/Ft. Carson School District 8. The organization also hopes to raise some money for the Colorado Springs Conservatory during this year's fundraiser.

On Friday, there will be food, music, door prizes, a silent auction and a whole lot more. The event will be held at The Warehouse restaurant in Colorado Springs located on 25 W. Cimarron St. (between Cascade and Sahwatch). It runs from 6 p.m. Until 10 p.m. There is no entry fee, however, guests are asked to bring a children's coat for a boy or girl youth sizes 5-16.
