Here comes the snow!

TODAY: Partly sunny with highs slightly above average. Colorado Springs will top out at 47 while Pueblo will warm into the low 50s.

TONIGHT: Cloudy, windy, lows in the teens and a good chance for snow after 11pm.
***A Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 11pm this evening to 2pm MST Sunday for Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. Snow accumulation between 2 to 6 inches with up to 7 inches on the top of Pikes Peak. West winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph.***
***A Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 11pm this evening to 5 pm MST Sunday for the La Garita and Eastern San Juan Mountains above 10000 feet, the Sangre De Cristo and Wet Mountains, the Wet Mountain Valley, Huerfano and western Las Animas Counties including Wolf Creek and La Veta passes. Snow accumulation across the mountains will be 4 to 8 inches with locally higher amounts. The lower elevations west of interstate 25 will get 2 to 5 inches. There will also be strong west winds at 25 to 35 mph with wind gusts to 55 mph at times.***
TRAVEL will be very HAZARDOUS due to blowing and drifting snow with near zero visibilities and icy, snow covered roads.

SUNDAY: Blustery with the heaviest snow continuing through 10am. Cloudy and cold with a high near 20 in Colorado Springs and near 23 in Pueblo. With a north wind at 10 to 15 mph wind chill values will be between zero and 10. Winter weather advisory ends at 5pm.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and oh so cold. We have not seen temperatures like this since 2011. Overnight lows falling to 5 in the Springs and 0 in Pueblo. The lightest north wind will make it feel more like -5 degrees.

MONDAY: Cold and clear as arctic air settles in with highs near 35 in Colorado Springs and 39 in Pueblo. Mostly cloudy overnight and cold with lows near 14 in Colorado Springs and 10 in Pueblo.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly with similar temperature to Monday. The afternoon will warm into the upper 30s. Mostly clear and cold overnight with lows in the mid to low teens.

WEDNESDAY: Sunny with milder conditions as Colorado Springs will warm into the upper 40s and Pueblo near 50.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear and not as cold with lows near 20 in the Springs and upper teens in Pueblo.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with similar temperatures to Wednesday with highs in the upper 40s in Colorado Springs and near 50 in Pueblo.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with lows in the upper teens to near 20.

FRIDAY: Partly sunny and 15 degrees cooler with highs near 30 in Colorado Springs and in the low 40s in Pueblo.
