High Speed Chase

She reached speeds up to 100 miles an hour and police trailed her for a good portion of her 100 mile chase.

It all started with a 14 year old girl skipping out on her $35 gas bill.

Early Tuesday morning a report came into highway patrol about a female driving a green Grandam taking off from DJ Petrol Gas Station in Arriba, which is about 20 miles east of Limon.

A few minutes later the car was spotted on Interstate 70 heading towards the metro area. The 14 year old was driving at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. Because of the speed and the amount of traffic at that time officers had to call off the chase around Byers.

Shortly after, Aurora Police set up stop sticks on the interstate near Tower Road. All four tires were punctured on the teens car. She pulled off to the side near Pena Boulevard and was arrested.

One other driver hit the stop sticks on I-70 but she was not injured.
