Overnight winds will continue to gust through the morning and afternoon. High Wind Warnings and Dust Storm Warnings are in effect through 6pm MT Tuesday. Expect winds to gust out of the north at 45-60 mph this morning and early this afternoon. After 2:00pm/3:00pm winds should begin to slightly ease, however winds will still be gusting 25-40mph.
Temperatures will also be cooler. High temperatures this afternoon will only top out in the 40°s, 20°-30° cooler as compared to Monday's highs in the 60°s and 70°s. (Colorado Springs: 42° | Pueblo: 48°)
With cooler temperatures and gusty winds, don't be surprised to see occasional blowing snow over northern El Paso and Teller counties. Along the Palmer Divide there should be less than one inch of snow.
We should see temperatures rebound Wednesday and Thursday as we get back in to the 50°s, 60°s and 70°s. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
