BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a homeless man whose body was found in a creek near downtown Boulder.
Sgt. Fred Gerhardt tells The Daily Camera the man reportedly was drinking with other homeless men until around 4 a.m. Friday. The group saw the man go into Boulder Creek but did not notice he was having any problems.
Gerhardt says one of the homeless men saw police tape in the area later in the morning and told officers what happened.
Police have not released the name of the man found in the creek but say he appears to be in his late 50s. Gerhardt says investigators do not suspect foul play, though they will look for any signs of trauma.
