It's going to be a hot week! But that's expected this time of the year. The last two weeks of July usually average out to be our hottest weeks.
Temperatures today will climb to near 90 for Springs and upper 90s for Pueblo and Canon City. We have been dealing with cloud cover today, especially toward the higher elevations. I don't see us completely clearing out, but farther and farther east will see more and more sunshine today. Don't be surprised if a t-storm or shower develops in your neighborhood, but most areas will stay dry.
Tuesday through Thursday are going to be pretty consistent. There will be a little more sunshine around through the afternoons, but also a few isolated showers. Temperatures will stay in the low/mid 90s for Springs and near 100 for Pueblo & Canon City.
Friday through the weekend we increase the chances for showers a bit. We'll have a little more moisture as well as a slight wind shift. This will be favorable for a few more afternoon showers each day.
Have a great week... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
