Highway 24 was briefly closed late Saturday following rain showers that moved over the Waldo Canyon burn scar. Meteorologist Stephanie Ortmann says recent rain totals ranged from .19 inches to .32 inches near Waldo Canyon during the evening hours.
Transportation officials moved to close Hwy. 24 to traffic near Cave of the Winds for westbound traffic, and at Cascade for eastbound travelers due to a small amount of water moving across the roadway and a crash near Cascade.
The crash involved a tanker truck that was spilling fuel.
The road has since been reopened.
There have been no reports of flooding damage due to the rain.
