DENVER (AP) - Flooding has closed Interstate 25 from north of Denver to Cheyenne.
The highway was closed in both directions from Colorado Highway 7 to Cheyenne, a 90 mile stretch, on Friday.
Three major rivers - the Big Thompson, St. Vrain, and the Poudre - normally flow under the highway in northern Colorado but flood waters have pushed them over the top of the roadway in some locations.
Transportation department spokesman Bob Wilson says the water could weaken the highway.
