Icy roads delay start of school in Monument

The icy roads in Monument have caused school administrators at the Lewis Palmer School District 38 to delay the start of school by 2 hours today.
District Spokesperson Robin Adair says the road conditions are just too slippery.
Monument Charter Academy also in D-38 has a 2 hour delayed start as well and has canceled morning kindergarten and preschool.
Likewise, the Family of Christ Child Development Center day care is also operating on a 2 hour delayed start for their day-part classes.
