Another twist in the case of a missing North Carolina boy, who investigators thought could be here.
Jadon Higganbothan has not been seen alive since last October. The Durham Police department asked the Teller County Sheriff's office to help them look for the 5 year old and his mother, Vania Sisk, last week. Sisk had just moved to Woodland Park with several other adults and at least 9 children.
Our sister station in Durham reports that the Teller County Search Warrants detail information about the death of Jadon by an informant. The informant tells police Sisk's boyfriend killed Jadon and stuffed his body in a suitcase.
No one has been arrested in this case.
Teller County Sheriff's investigators visited the home on several occasions, looking for Sisk and Jadon. The boy was never found. Sisk and the other people living in the home have all returned to Durham.
The search warrant also says Sisk is accused of killing another woman who lived in the Durham home with Sisk, her boyfriend, and several other women and children. Sisk's family members tell a Durham newspaper the individuals involved belong to some sort of home-based religious group called the Black Hebrews.
