LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - A 24-year-old Longmont school janitor is being held on suspicion of sexual assault on a child.

KMGH-TV reports that a deputy found fill-in janitor Travis Bowden alone with a 13-year-old girl at Lagerman Reservoir just outside of Longmont Friday night.

During an interview with officers, Bowden allegedly told police he met the girl about a year ago because she played with children in his neighborhood. The affidavit says he told police they had a sexual encounter.

The station reports that Longmont Police and the St. Vrain Valley School District will send out letters tomorrow about the accusation.

Bowden is being held on $25,000 bond for investigation of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
