The actress who starred in stage and film musicals including "The Sound of Music" and "Mary Poppins" spoke at CU Boulder's Folsom Field.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, she told graduates to "live lightly on this Earth and give generously." Her speech was warmly received by the audience.

The 77-year-old actress, who won an Academy Award for her role as Mary Poppins, is also a children's book author and an advocate for the arts and education.
