Kenosha Pass fire over 100 acres

Park County Undersheriff Monty Gore says no homes have been evacuated, but they are evacuating hikers and campers in the area. He says seven structures are near the fire area, but they are not in immediate danger.

Authorities say the fire is burning in the Lost Creek area of the Pike National Forest.

The Rocky Mountain Coordination Center says fire crews in the area have requested a SEAT plane.

The U.S. Forest Service says several firefighters and fire engines have responded to the scene.

Park County enacted a Stage I fire ban on April 14, restricting people from building campfires outside of a fire grate and smoking in non-designated areas.

Gore says County Road 56 is closed due to the fire.
