UNDATED (AP) - The Colonel is getting 86'd. KFC is going upscale and axing Colonel Harland Sanders in the process. The fried chicken chain is testing a more upscale eatery to be called "KFC eleven." It will open early next month near KFC's headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. The place will serve things like flatbreads with toppings, rice bowls and salads. Patrons will be able to get chicken, but only boneless pieces of Original Recipe. The name "KFC eleven" refers to the 11 herbs and spices Colonel Sanders used in the Original Recipe. But the iconic image of the colonel won't be there.
