We continue to track the recovery of the Black Forest area one year removed from the deadly and devastating wildfire.
On Wednesday, a group of kids from Catholic Heart Work Camp helped out by collecting dead slash and loading it into a dumpster.
The goal is to clean the project site so grass seed can be planted and then eventually a new home can be built.
"We have a lot of work still from the Black Forest fire and it is so critical to get help out here to help our community heal and restore," says Nancy Trosper with Black Forest Together.
Catholic Heart Work Camp will be working on multiple projects this week.
