With the amount of snow we've had in the past day, it's important to pay attention to your trees.
That's because a large snow load can damage tree branches and cause them to break due to the amount of weight on them.
Tom Flynn of Front Range Arborists says the spring and fall are the worst time of the year for this, because snow during this time of the year contains extra moisture.
He says pushing or pulling on branches can damage them, so you're better off using a broom to bump the snow off branches. You can also lightly shake them for the same effect.
