Law enforcement community relations meeting planned in Pueblo

A group in Pueblo is trying to improve relations between the community and law enforcement.

The Pueblo Human Relations Commission will host a forum Tuesday night to explain how complaints and investigations are done at the Police Department, the Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's Office.

Questions will be compiled in advance. Questions should be sent to sandy.daff@pueblohrc.org. The meeting will happen Tuesday, May 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pueblo County Conference Center at 10th and Santa Fe.

The Human Relations Commission is made up of members from:

  • NAACP
  • Pueblo Public Defender's Office
  • Latino Chamber of Commerce
  • League of United Latin American Citizens
  • The Arc of Pueblo
  • District Attorney's Office
  • Pueblo Police Department
  • United States Department of Justice
  • Pueblo Human Relations Commission
