RECALL: A fire hazard is prompting the recall of nearly half a million LED light bulbs.
The 120-volt bulbs were sold under the brand names Definity, Ecosmart, Sylvania and Westinghouse. Manufacturers are recalling them because they can overheat during use and pose a fire hazard.
Lighting Science Group is aware of more than 60 incidents of product failure, including eight involving visible smoke or fire.
Consumers should stop using the bulbs and contact Lighting Science Group for replacement bulbs at 855-574-2533 or online at www.lsgc.com/recall.
