Lewis-Palmer wins OT thriller for first state hockey title

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) - Kyle Lee scored in overtime and Brent Schwarz stopped 32 shots as Lewis-Palmer won its first state ice hockey title with a 3-2 victory over Ralston Valley at the 1stBank Center.

Lee, who also had an assist, rocketed a shot past Ralston Valley goalie Cody Buesser 2:21 into the extra period.

Lewis-Palmer (17-3-3), the No. 6 seed from Monument, won despite being outshot 34-10 and trailing 2-1 late in regulation.
