Lewis-Palmer libero is this week's "Athlete of the Week"

We hit the volleyball courts in Monument for this week's "Loaf ‘N Jug Gatorade High School Athlete of the Week." Congratulations to Lewis-Palmer libero Hannah Pavlik.

Hannah is off to a great start this season. She had a perfect serve percentage against Liberty and her defensive skills were very evident with 23 digs in that game and an incredible 28 digs against Mesa Ridge.

She told News 5's Jordan Mason she was thrilled to be this week's winner. "It feels great," said Hannah. "I really appreciate you guys picking a volleyball player."

Her coach says her leadership skills are exceptional. In fact, her teammates unanimously named her team captain before the season started.

Hannah also plays doubles on the Lewis-Palmer tennis team and she loves to hike. She recently hiked to the top of Pikes Peak with her family.
