Littleton man gets 6 months in jail for dog abuse

LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) - A man accused of refusing to provide medical care for his dog is off to jail for the next six months.

According to KUSA-TV, a Cocker Spaniel was found in Lynch's filthy home last year. Authorities say the dog's hair was falling out and he appeared to be extremely malnourished. Both of the dog's eyes had to be removed.

David Lynch was convicted of misdemeanor animal abuse in Douglas County after a jury found him guilty.
