Local 12-year-old getting free service dog

Cameron Biebuyck -- a local 12-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at birth -- is waiting on her new service dog. These specially trained animals can cost more than $20,000, but through the non-profit Canine Assistants, and other charitable donations, Biebuyck's new dog will be free.

Biebuyck was recognized in a ceremony at the Commissary at Peterson Air Force Base Saturday. She was joined by her family, who is stationed at Peterson AFB. Her father is a U.S. Army Colonel.

We'll hear more about Cameron's story Saturday evening on News First 5.
