Local airman killed in aircraft crash in Africa

A 30-year-old airman from Colorado Springs had died while in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Capt. Ryan P. Hall was killed Saturday near Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa after their aircraft was involved in a crash.

Hall was assigned to the 319th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Capt. Nicholas S. Whitlock, 29, of Newnan, Ga., 1st Lt. Justin J. Wilkens, 26, of Bend, Ore. and Senior Airman Julian S. Scholten, 26, of Upper Marlboro, Md.were also killed.
