One local Chipotle Restaurant will go solar as part of a national test. The Chipotle at Citadel Crossing will add solar panels to its roof. That location was chosen partly because of Colorado's bright sunshine.

It's estimated the power bill will go down 30 to 40 percent.

"It's not really about saving money right now cause we had to put out a pretty substantial investment to do it," said Patrick Hannan. " It's about being environmentally responsible and having a smaller footprint on the environment."

It's the first Chipotle in Colorado Springs to go solar and the 8th in Colorado.
