Local talent on the Oscar stage

A former Woodland Park Resident was on stage last night at the Oscars

According to Charlie Chambers with "The Mountain Jackpot News", Kayla Bingham performed in the Les Misérables performance last night during the nationally televised Academy Awards show.

Bingham moved to Los Angeles at 17 and attended a scholarship program at the EDGE Performing Arts Center. She auditioned for the Academy Awards as a dancer and was selected. She was also in Be My Guest (in the opening number) and Chicago with Catherine Zeta Jones at the Oscars. She has been working as a professional dancer since age 18. She is now 22.
