Lone gunman robs drug store early Sunday

Shortly before 4:00a.m. Sunday morning a lone male walked into the Walgreens store at 920 N. Circle Drive and jumped the pharmacy counter demanding prescription medications while brandishing a hand gun. Before officers could arrive, the gun man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of drugs. While officers gathered evidence in the store, other patrol officers were canvassing the area in an attempt to locate the suspect.
Police have not said if they are reviewing video surveillance tapes from the store in an attempt to identify the suspect.
