Looks like roads are becoming more safe in CO

Colorado is headed toward a three-decade low in the number of people killed in traffic crashes. Safer cars and better drivers are credited for the safer highways.
The Colorado Department of Transportation reports that the number of people killed in Colorado traffic crashes dropped 20 percent in the first six months of 2010 from last year's record-low pace and could total fewer than 400 by year's end for the first time in at least 30 years.
From January through the end of June, the state recorded 175 fatalities. That's down from 220 during the first half of last year.
Law enforcement officials credit better-built cars and roads. They also cite targeted enforcement of traffic laws and rising awareness of safe-driving habits.
