Los Alamos lab closed due to fire

Thousands of residents remain evacuated around Los Alamos, New Mexico due to a wildfire that covers 93 square miles.

Los Alamos is home to a nuclear laboratory.  That lab is closed and will be for at least two more days.

Lab officials say all nuclear and hazardous materials, including those at the lab's principal waste storage site, are protected and  not in danger from the fire.
