TODAY: It is a chilly start to what will be a gorgeous afternoon! It will be mostly sunny again this afternoon and almost as warm as it was yesterday. High temps of 64 in the Springs and 68 in Pueblo. Don't forget that, due to the weekend time change, the sun sets today at 4:54 later today!
TONIGHT: Skies should be mostly clear with chilly temps...just not quite as cold as it was this morning. Dropping down to 39 in Colorado Springs and 33 in Pueblo.
ELECTION DAY: For casting your votes tomorrow the weather will be picture perfect! Abundant sunshine, light winds and warmer temps. Compared to election-day four years ago our temps Tuesday will be about 15-20 degrees warmer. High for Colorado Springs will reach 68...it will be 73 in Pueblo. Temps in Teller County and the mountains will even reach the upper 50's!
WEDNESDAY: Very warm weather for your mid-week forecast...in fact it will be our warmest day of the next seven! Plenty of sun for all of us and temps all the way up to 74 in Colorado Springs and 80 in Pueblo. Those temps are more than 15-20 degrees warmer than average for this time of the year.
THURSDAY-FRIDAY: Staying very sunny and much warmer than average...just not quite as toasty as Wednesday. Temps will be in the mid to upper 60's in the Springs and lower to middle 70's in Pueblo. There is a storm system that will be on the way from the southwest which means that we'll see some fairly gusty winds on Friday and Friday night before front arrives early Saturday. During the day on Friday we'll likely start to see some rain and snow showers beginning to fall across the western half of Colorado. Be sure to check the road reports before venturing across any mountain passes.
SATURDAY: Colder air streams into eastern Colorado with some more gusty winds. Temps will only reach the upper 40's in the Springs and lower 50's in Pueblo and that will be early in the day. Colder temps expected by later in the day with very cold overnight low temps Saturday into Sunday and Sunday night. One thing we'll be watching for is the chance for rain and snow showers tagging along with the colder air. During the day on Saturday there will be more rain and snow in western Colorado and even close to home over the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains, as-well-as the Rampart Range and Monument Hill. Chance for precip at the lower elevations will be best by Saturday night. As of right now chances of rain/snow will be about 20% in the Springs....10-20% in Pueblo and around 30% or higher over the mountains close to home.
SUNDAY: Temps to start the morning will be in the teens and lower 20's! High temps will only reach 37 in the Springs and 39 in Pueblo by afternoon, making it our coldest afternoon of the next seven days! Good news is that we'll see mostly sunny skies during the day...but again very cold by overnight into the start of the Veteran's Day forecast.
