Colorado Springs Police say they have made an arrest, in an early morning hit and run, that injured two people.
It happened shortly after 1 a.m., on Dominion Way, near Dublin and Academy. Police say 23-year-old Kellen Kostka failed to negotiate a curve on Dominion and ran off the road, towards a group of three pedestrians. Two were hit, striking one in the arm and knocking the other to the ground. The second victim suffered various wounds, including head injuries.
Police say Kostka then drove away from the scene, hitting a light pole. He was forced to stop a short distance later, after he realized his car had caught on fire. That's when police arrested him.
Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
