High Angle Rescue Climbers from the Colorado Springs Fire Department have responded to the Silver Cascade Falls area of North Cheyenne Canyon and Stratton Open Space when reportedly a man in his early 30's fell nearly 100 feet while working as a youth group volunteer in the canyon.
At this time it is unknown how the man fell but crews on scene are reporting that the man is alert and stable as they bring him down a trail to the command center before he is transported to a local hospital.
The hike down from the bottom of the falls to the command center is a 20 minute hike. We have a crew on scene.
