Man fires gun outside of Colorado Springs party

Gunshots outside of a party in Colorado Springs early Saturday morning cause damage to a car and have police searching for the shooter.

Police were called to the 4400 block of Melville Circle around 1:30 a.m. They say a man showed up to a party in the area and went in to talk with a female; then he left the area and began firing gunshots in the air.

An unoccupied car was hit with one of the bullets, but no one was injured by the gunshots.

Police say the suspect left in an older model red SUV, and they're currently looking for them. If you know anything, please call Colorado Springs police at 444-7000. You can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP (7867).
