Man Found Along Side Of Interstate Early Sunday Morning

El Paso County Sheriffs Office PIO Lt. Sevene tells News First 5 that a man was found by the side of the road by a citizen heading in to work at the Ray Nixon power plant near I 25 mile marker 125 on the South bound side of the interstate.  The man has serious but non-life threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition at a local hospital. Currently the Sheriffs Office investigators have not been able to interview the man only identified as approximately 20 years old because he has been in and out of consciousness. The man sustained multiple head and face injuries. Officials are not sure if he sustained injuries from an assault or from being pushed from a moving vehicle.

El Paso County Sheriffs Office detectives are asking that someone call if they witnessed anything in that area between late Saturday night and 7:30 Sunday morning.
