Man loses legs after being run over by train in Pueblo

PUEBLO - A man is in serious condition after being run over by a train, according to the Pueblo Police Department.  Wednesday afternoon, police were called out to the trin tracks in the area of Dillon and Mel Harman Dr.  When they arrived, the found Michael Holmes, 22, with both legs severed and a severely injured arm.  Holmes was taken to a local hospital.

Train personnel told police that they saw something on the tracks, tried to stop, but were unable to.  When they got closer, they saw Holmes laying on the tracks with his legs on the rails.

Pueblo police are investigating.
