Man recovering from shooting, police looking for three men

A man in Colorado Springs is recovering after starting his weekend in a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police were called to 2353 Platte Place just before two in the morning Saturday where people heard shots being fired. When they got there they found a car with several bullet holes in it, but didn't find anyone related to the scene there.

A short time later police were called about a man arriving at Evans Army Hospital on Fort Carson with a gunshot wound. He arrived by private vehicle, Colorado Springs Police said in a release. The wound wasn't life threatening.

The man told police he didn't know the suspects or why they attacked him. He said it was three black men but couldn't provide a more detailed description.

CSPD is investigating; if you have any information call Colorado Springs Police at 444-7000.
