Authorities say a pilot who crashed a small plane into an Aurora field was seriously injured.
South Metro Fire Rescue Authority Chief Dan Qualman says the pilot was the only person in the single-engine plane, which crashed near the Rocking Horse subdivision at about 9:45 a.m. this morning.
The Denver Post reports no one on the ground was injured.
Qualman did not know from where the plane departed, and officials with the National Transportation Safety Board were expected to take over the investigation this afternoon.
