Man shot in Pueblo West home had been drinking

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says a man shot inside a Pueblo West house early Wednesday had been drinking.  The incident happened on Glenrose Drive.

A woman found a stranger sleeping on her couch.  She called her children who came to the house to see if they recognized the man and they did not.  He was later identified as 32 year old Chris Raspberry of Colorado Springs.

They then called the Sheriff's Office.  Before officers arrived Raspberry awoke and there was some sort of altercation.  Raspberry was shot in the knee with a .40 caliber handgun owned by the family.

Raspberry was taken to a Denver hospital.  So far no charges have been filed.

Raspberry has friends who live in the neighborhood and may have been trying to enter their house.
