Colorado Springs - On Tuesday afternoon, May 21, at approximately 4:26pm Colorado Springs police officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Rainier Dr regarding a domestic disturbance involving a gun. Several witnesses told the officers a man had assaulted and pistol whipped a woman outside a home in the area. The witnesses said the female was bloody when she left the area in a vehicle with the suspect. The officers were able to determine who the victim possibly was, as well as who the suspect may be. While still investigating the incident, the officers were notified about an assault call at Memorial Hospital regarding the possible victim in this case. The officers responded to Memorial Hospital where they contacted the victim.
The victim, a 25 year old female, said her boyfriend, Michael Casados, confronted her a few minutes before arriving to the hospital. The victim claimed that the suspect, was armed with a handgun, that he had punched and kicked her several times before he struck her several times with the handgun. One of the blows was severe enough to break the victim's arm.
The victim alleged the suspect forced her to leave with him in the vehicle. Eventually the suspect let the victim go in the 2100 block of Delta Dr. The victim called her sister-in-law to pick her up and drove her to Memorial Hospital.
The victim was treated and released at Memorial Hospital for several lacerations, contusions, and a broken arm.
The suspect has not been located at this time. Michael Casados is described as a 30-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 5'07 and 200 pounds with a shaved head.
